Steering wheels are cool. But the truth is, I think a joystick would be much cooler. Push the joystick forward to accelerate, pull back to brake. Tilt it left and right to turn. This replaces the need for pedals too. Which, in my opinion, suck. Also, the horn could be put on button 1, which is usually on top of the stick. Button 2, the most common button on the base of the joystick, could then fire the railgun that is mounted to the top, side, or rear of my car.
I know that I heard of a car in Europe that was steered using joysticks...I'm waiting.
In closing, this idea is probably the best thing any of you will ever hear. It is pure genius and stuff.
I'll see what it would take to get a joystick mounted in my car...and get it hooked up correctly. Although i'm not sure where i can get a rail gun...perhaps that will have to wait.
